NoteIt ssems he had an affair with Elizabeth Vivier, the orphaned cousin of his wife, Mariie while she were living with her uncle and aunt (Jacques Theron and Marie-Jeanne du Preez). A baby girl was born out of this affair and the uncle wrote a letter on 25 November 1716 to the Governor in th eCape in this regard. We do not know what happened with this case.
